A Story of Dragons Chapter 3 Part 3.This time, Chris' dreams were a blur of trees, dragons, and odd people. Quickly, it spiraled into indecipherable chaos, like his mind was under siege. But suddenly, the dream ended, and Chris was wide awake, staring up at the ceiling.A Story of Dragons Chapter 3 Part 3. by Superjacobworld
'Talek? Are you there?' Chris thought.
'Maybe he's still asleep.' He reasoned. He sluggishly got out of the bed, and slipped on his shoes. As he rubbed his eyes, he tried to recall what he could. 'I am in a village, in a forest, somewhere. I'm here with Dave and Annie, and am currently being guided by a dragon and a somewhat strange man. And I was told to wake up at… dawn, yes that's right. Wait a minute.'
Chris rushed to the window and gazed outside.
It was still dark enough to see a few stars, but light enough to be able to see anything else.
'I guess I still have some time.' Chris thought to himself. He left the rom, being sure to take the key with him, and traveled down to the main hall.
The hearth was still burning bright, and the

As strange as this sounds, it has always been a fascination of mine, an obsessive curiosity in the deepest recesses of my mind, that is the power of the earth and that it dwarfs us all. I love how insignificant I feel when standing at the foot of the towering, limestone cliffs, how I am reminded that no matter how tirelessly man scours the earth, we still know so little about it. Even with our ingenuity, the vast array of tools at our disposal from fleets of galleons of past endeavours to a pickaxe plunged into a glacier face, not in our whole history could we learn absolutely everything about the world we inhabit. Try as we might, to comprehend it all and put it into a scientific formula, yet mysteries still team deep in the abysses and atop the highest apex. However, I always believed that the earth’s magnitude was something not to be feared, that the bigger the world was, the more opportunity there was to explore, and that somewhere beyond the three peaks swallowing the horizo
Sire's Call - Act 2Part 1Sire's Call - Act 2 by ArchmageMelek
"Elder, do you know him?", the younger gryphoness asked. Her older sister subtly glanced between the two males and her eyes widened a little. It looked like she was trying to think of something to say, but in the end decided to stay quiet.
"Girls, head back to the colony.", he said calmly, it was neither an order nor a request.
"But, we can head back with-"
"That won't be needed. Tell your grandmother I'll be walking back with a friend."
"But, grandfather...", the younger looked worried as her older sister pushed her gently with a wing.
"Let's head back.", the older gryphoness half whispered to her sister. She turned back to her grandfather. "Are you sure you don't need us?"
"I'll be fine."
The two gryphonesses paused a moment, looking at Yogoloth. There was an undisguised mixture of worry, confusion and curiosity in those bird-like faces. Another push from her older sister and, one after the other, they grudgingly took to the air. The old gryphon watched them leave and then tur

Chapter 1 background.
In this story I use a modification of the Multiverse theory as I understand it. My theory is that everything we come up with using our imagination is actually an account of an event from a parallel/alternative universe. This includes everything from a small lie to the best fictional stories from good old books. I cannot fully describe the multiverse but for this story imagine beads on a string radiating out in infinite directions from a centra
The Increasingly Absurd Endeavours Of Gretchen (1)I had been living here all my life, looking over the quiet valley of Upshire. This is where I have remained for many years, walled in by the prominent limestone cliffs. My abode? A stout, ramshackle cottage built from red wood and stone, an eyesore on the outside, yet cosy and warm inside, a place that could weather even the harshest of winters that the English seasons hurled my way.The Increasingly Absurd Endeavours Of Gretchen (1) by smileykaya
My name is Gretchen Goosander… Sadly I have no middle name, so I cannot tell you that. At fourteen, I am not legally supposed to be running a home all by myself, yet no-one even knows I’m out here, no-one ever bloomin’ bothered to check but, hey, the solitude is peaceful, albeit lonesome. There isn’t much to say about myself, other than the fact that I have my mother’s freckles, and also my aunt’s hell-to-tame ginger curls, which turn to frizz in even low humidity. Other than that, I am a dull person in my opinion, with no outstanding interests other than an avid collec

She felt the warmth pressed against her back. It was strange, but, nice, the other aura sleeping restfully.
Mierra made no move to push the unknown entity away, too comfortable in her bed, not to mention it was a weekend. The entity shifted and walked over Mierra, stepping on her side. She didn't move until she felt something lick her nose.
She opened her eyes and saw the cat looking at her with bright yellow eyes. She smiled and wrapped an arm around the cat, bringing it closer to her. She heard the tinkle of the cat's collar and said, “Let's find out your name shall we?”
Mierra parted the cat's neck fur until she found the collar tag and read it.
“Maddie. That sounds familiar...”
She shrugged and got out of the bed. The walls of her temporary room were maroon with brown trim and the carpet was a light beige. There was a fireplace across the room from her four poster bed with a small couch. Three doors were in the room, bathroom, laundry room, an
