Scarlet FeathersPart 1Scarlet Feathers by *ArchmageMelek
The mighty dragon spied his prey, but remained hidden out of sight beyond the trees. His green hide blending in with the leaves and undergrowth, his brown feathery wings pulled tight against his flanks. He was hungry and the deer, only one pounce away, would cure that hunger easily.
Yogoloth stalked forward, his claws carving up the loose dirt, eyes never once leaving the oblivious meal. The doe looked up for a moment and the hybrid froze in place, not one muscle twitched and he waited for the deer to either spot him and run, or return to its grazing. It's ears flicked this way and that before its head returned to the dry grass.
Yogoloth surged forward and pounced on the deer, his claws sank into his prey and his teeth latched onto its neck.
