The Dragonborn Has No TongueThe Dragonborn Has No Tongue by modji-33
"Did you not hear my Commander?" the Imperial squinted down at him. "Why do you have so many..." he pointed with his whip handle at Matt's bare arms and torso, splashed and spattered in white, healed-over scars.
"He can't speak, m'lord," Pinna said, affecting a Bruma accent. They'd stripped her to the waist as well, kneeling there beside him outside the Commanders tent, and found her sole cured burn, running from breast to hip. Vagon's kiss.
Her attempt at an accent was a good idea. He'd seen Nord's killed and worse by Imperials in his time, just for being too proud and too nordic at the wrong moment, and her imitation of a certain Bruma trader they'd both known was near to perfect.
"Oh, but he can smile can he?" the second-in-charge rounded back on him, face so close that Matt could smell his meady breath. "Can't talk but he can smile? I'll
[Experience]Aether Kirkscale's point of view[Experience] by WingedSilverWolf
I had experienced it, and at first, it had utterly shocked me.
After Silver had murdered that poor innocent family of humans, I though that she had finally hit her lowest, that all the life left in her had vanished along with the four beings she killed. I, however, stayed with her because I thought she could change, I knew there was some good in her, and Netheress felt it too.. it turns out we were right. I saw the spark in her eyes whenever she watched the younglings play among the fluffy heavens, I found her crying over the loss of a younger citizen of heaven, I experienced the happy curl in her voice whenever she talked about her jewellery making hobby or interests, I witnessed the loving gestures she directed towards her family and loved ones: in conclusion, she wasn't as dead on the inside as we thought she would be.
So it makes you think, doesn't it?
Even someone as cruel and dangerous as Silver could be affectionate, loyal, caring and prot
The Love of Hatchlings.(COMMENT!!! PLEASE!!! How clear do I have to make it?!?!?!)The Love of Hatchlings. by Superjacobworld
Seril woke up and sighed. She was back under her mother's wing, and no longer in the wonderful dream world she had taken the time to enjoy only moments before. Of course, she admitted as she got herself more comfortable by her mother’s warm flank, she always enjoyed being with her family. They cared for her and gave her everything she could need. Just what you would expect from a pair of loving parents…but, as of recently, there seemed to be something missing, and thinking about it would only leave her feeling confused and alone, even when her parents tried to help her. As if they could even understand anymore. She shook the thoughts from her head. No, this was not a time to dwell on depressing matters. Today should be a good day and this was not how to start it.
Seril heard her mother yawn. 'Are you awake already?' She asked, pulling her wing back to look over at her
The Last DragonOn that winter's morning, the frost was biting and numbing on my hands and feet. I continued to trek on without protest, along with my father who'm I had been hunting with that day. We journeyed out of our secluded pasture to venture into the wild in order to hunt our quarry, and maybe even learn a few interesting facts about life in the process. The Last Dragon by thwackcrackers
One rule of life, for certain, was to expect the unexpected. We expected the frequent passing of deer, or the hibernating growls of slumbering bear. What we didn't expect was to stare into the face of a creature of legend and myth. It slowly slid its muzzle out of the frozen ravine, and studied us with eyes of flawless ivory. My father and I halted and he kept his finger steady on his rifle's trigger.
The quizzical glare coming from the creature wasn't a facade for malicious intent, rather for genuine curiosity and interest. With one heaving step after another, the creature, this dragon, slowly approached us. My father bravely shielded himself
The Traveler's tale chapter 1 and 2Authors note: I use many references to books and stories of other people in this story; this is because they inspire me. I apologise to anyone who is reading this and has not red the stories I refer to or if you wrote the stories and you felt wronged by me. Chapter 1 background.
In this story I use a modification of the Multiverse theory as I understand it. My theory is that everything we come up with using our imagination is actually an account of an event from a parallel/alternative universe. This includes everything from a small lie to the best fictional stories from good old books. I cannot fully describe the multiverse but for this story imagine beads on a string radiating out in infinite directions from a centra
The Increasingly Absurd Endeavours Of Gretchen (1)I had been living here all my life, looking over the quiet valley of Upshire. This is where I have remained for many years, walled in by the prominent limestone cliffs. My abode? A stout, ramshackle cottage built from red wood and stone, an eyesore on the outside, yet cosy and warm inside, a place that could weather even the harshest of winters that the English seasons hurled my way.The Increasingly Absurd Endeavours Of Gretchen (1) by smileykaya
My name is Gretchen Goosander… Sadly I have no middle name, so I cannot tell you that. At fourteen, I am not legally supposed to be running a home all by myself, yet no-one even knows I’m out here, no-one ever bloomin’ bothered to check but, hey, the solitude is peaceful, albeit lonesome. There isn’t much to say about myself, other than the fact that I have my mother’s freckles, and also my aunt’s hell-to-tame ginger curls, which turn to frizz in even low humidity. Other than that, I am a dull person in my opinion, with no outstanding interests other than an avid collec

She felt the warmth pressed against her back. It was strange, but, nice, the other aura sleeping restfully.
Mierra made no move to push the unknown entity away, too comfortable in her bed, not to mention it was a weekend. The entity shifted and walked over Mierra, stepping on her side. She didn't move until she felt something lick her nose.
She opened her eyes and saw the cat looking at her with bright yellow eyes. She smiled and wrapped an arm around the cat, bringing it closer to her. She heard the tinkle of the cat's collar and said, “Let's find out your name shall we?”
Mierra parted the cat's neck fur until she found the collar tag and read it.
“Maddie. That sounds familiar...”
She shrugged and got out of the bed. The walls of her temporary room were maroon with brown trim and the carpet was a light beige. There was a fireplace across the room from her four poster bed with a small couch. Three doors were in the room, bathroom, laundry room, an
